Keeping the damage bonus useful
Editorial purchase advice based on the facts and interaction source cited on this page.
Our editorial purchase test is whether this loadout can keep most of the opening damage bonus through a wave. Triangle of Power gives damage and armor, then loses damage when the player is hurt until the wave ends. A ranged build with a reliable escape route has a different expected use for it from a build intentionally taking repeated hits. Judge the item by the damage available during the difficult part of a wave, rather than only by the first number displayed in the shop.
The item source explicitly includes self damage in the interaction. That makes Bloody Hand and other recurring self damage plans important checks before buying. Do not count the full Triangle bonus in a build calculation while also assuming frequent self damage triggers. The damage loss lasts to the end of that wave; it is not described here as a permanent account penalty. No additional stacking cap is inferred from the blank field in the source table.
For Danger 5 and Nightmare, prioritize the fight that is currently causing damage. If repeated small hits are already spending the bonus, another offensive item may provide more dependable output. Our recommendation is to repair spacing, recovery, or coverage before paying for a bonus that disappears during the exact encounter where it is needed. Knight can value the armor line, while Bull should examine the taking damage interaction rather than treating the item as an uncomplicated damage purchase.
Triangle of Power is a tier-3 item priced at 65 on the wiki item template. It gives plus 20 percent damage and plus 1 armor, then removes 2 percent damage every time you take damage, until the wave ends. Self-damage counts. Blood Donation and the Sick character both poke you, so they spend the bonus. I would not put this on a build that hurts itself on purpose. Patch 1.1.0.0 removed the Armor tag; I mention that so an older guide that calls it an armor item is not silently "wrong," it is out of date. It also fights Bloody Hand, because Bloody Hand deals 1 damage to you every second and that tick is another minus 2 percent. I keep the mutual exclusion on this page and link Bloody Hand instead of pasting the same paragraph twice.

FAQ
Is this number from two sources?
The item and weapon templates I used are the community wiki. Where I only had that page, the note says so.
Which set includes Triangle of Power?
The copied field list places Triangle of Power in Base. I do not move a character between sets to match a tier list.
