Paws and Claws, the free update on 11 Feb 2026, added nine pets and Beast Master. Ratzilla has no unlock. Bonk Dog wants six melee weapons. Catling Gun wants six ranged. Bot-O-Mine wants six engineering. Blazemander wants six elemental. Doc Moth wants 10 health regenerated and 10 percent life steal. Lootworm wants 20 materials left at the end of a wave. Jellyshield wants three projectile hits taken in one wave. Scapegoat wants a Beast Master clear.
The wiki pet index I opened listed seven and left out Ratzilla and Jellyshield. I follow the announcement's nine and I say the index was short. Beast Master cannot equip weapons, and pet damage reads melee, ranged, elemental, and engineering together.
People ask whether pets life steal and whether Scared Sausage burns on pet hits. Life steal is not a pet rule I found written as a yes. Sausage triggers are listed on that item's page, and pet damage is not one of them.
