Separate a burn trigger from a pet assumption

Editorial purchase advice based on the facts and interaction source cited on this page.

Scared Sausage is attractive when the build produces attacks supported by its trigger rules and has a reason to invest in elemental damage. Our editorial opening for a burn plan is to confirm the triggering attack first, then compare additional burn investment with the weapon's immediate damage. A stack limit is not a promise that every enemy receives all possible damage instantly. Burning has its own application and timing, so the shop decision should consider whether enemies remain dangerous while the effect works.

The cited Wiki interaction list includes structures, explosions, and spawned projectiles, and excludes named effects such as Baby Elephant, Cyberball, and Riposte. Pet damage is not established as a trigger by that list. Consequently, a Beast Master purchase should not be justified by a claimed pet burn interaction. Mage is a clearer example because Scared Sausage is in its starting package, but the selected weapons still need to use the relevant elemental route.

For difficult waves, compare coverage with repeated investment into one damage over time effect. Our recommendation is to keep an immediate answer to close pressure instead of waiting for burning to solve every enemy. Builder is a useful structure based comparison, although the turret's engineering scaling remains a separate system from buying elemental damage for burn. Unknown trigger interactions remain source gaps; the shared elemental theme of two effects is insufficient evidence that one activates the other.

Scared Sausage is tier 1 and costs 25. An attack has a 25 percent chance to deal a 3 by 1 burn at plus 100 percent, and you can hold four, which is how people talk about a 100 percent chance. Extra sausages add 1 burn damage to other burn sources. The wiki's trigger list is specific: engineering structures, explosions, and spawned projectiles can trigger it. Baby Elephant, Cyberball, and Riposte cannot. Pets are the question that created this page. I will not say "pets burn." I will say the wiki does not list pet damage as a trigger, and it does list structures and explosions. Mage starts with one sausage, which is a separate fact on the Mage page. If your build is pets only, I would not buy this for the pets.

FAQ

Is this number from two sources?

The item and weapon templates I used are the community wiki. Where I only had that page, the note says so.

Which set includes Scared Sausage?

The copied field list places Scared Sausage in Base. I do not move a character between sets to match a tier list.
