About this guide
Updated for Brotato 1.2.0.1 · checked 2026-11-05

Brotato was developed by Thomas Gervraud under the name Blobfish. In September 2025 Blobfish said ongoing work would move to Evil Empire, with Blobfish still directing the game. Early access on Steam began on 27 Sep 2022. Version 1.0 shipped on 23 Jun 2023. By 2025 the public writeups I read put lifetime sales past 10 million. Metacritic showed 76 from four critic reviews and a user score of 7.8 from 257 ratings when I checked. The game was nominated for a 2023 Steam Award in the Steam Deck category.
This site writes builds, tables, and store facts, and it links the page each fact came from. The logo and the screenshots are the game's own store art, used so you can recognize the potato. I do not offer a logo pack for download.
The editor's mailbox is [email protected]. Corrections go there. A fact with one source is labeled that way. A blank cell means I did not have the number.
