Kill healing and the Builder question

Editorial purchase advice based on the facts and interaction source cited on this page.

Goblet provides a chance of healing on a kill in exchange for regeneration. Our editorial recommendation is to evaluate the number of kills the loadout can actually obtain while health is missing. A crowd clearing build and a long isolated boss fight offer different opportunities for that effect. The healing is a recovery mechanism, rather than a reason to accept every incoming hit. The source's three copy limit is a purchase constraint; it is not evidence that three copies guarantee a heal on every kill.

Builder's damage penalty does not reduce the healing amount described by Goblet's effect. That is the relevant distinction in the Builder question. It does not mean that a slow killing Builder automatically recovers quickly. The regeneration penalty should also be compared with the rest of the loadout before replacing an established regeneration plan. Keep kill healing and damage scaling as separate decisions, and use the engineering page for the structure side of the build.

On Danger 5 or Nightmare, our advice is to retain another survival layer for the intervals between kills. A few seconds without a kill can matter during an elite encounter even if ordinary waves refill health comfortably. Cyborg offers a second structure related example where damage behavior changes during a wave; evaluate whether the resulting kills arrive at the time recovery is needed. The recommendation follows the item trigger and character rules rather than assigning Goblet a universal best in slot status.

Goblet is an Abyssal Terrors item, tier 3, price 70. Killing an enemy has a 15 percent chance to restore 1 health. Regeneration is minus 3, and you can hold three copies. The effect does not look at your damage modifier. That is the whole answer to "does Goblet work in a Builder build." Builder carries a minus 75 percent damage modifier, and Goblet ignores it, so the heal can still happen. The minus 3 regeneration does nothing useful for a Builder who was not buying regeneration anyway. I only have the wiki item template for the numbers, so the status on this page is one community-wiki source, not two shops agreeing. I do not stretch that into a claim about every engineering character.

FAQ

Is this number from two sources?

The item and weapon templates I used are the community wiki. Where I only had that page, the note says so.

Which set includes Goblet?

The copied field list places Goblet in DLC. I do not move a character between sets to match a tier list.
