Which DLC to buy
Updated for Brotato 1.2.0.1 · checked 2026-11-05

Abyssal Terrors launched on 25 Oct 2024 at $3.99. The store page offers 14 characters, 16 weapons, more than 30 items, a 20-wave Abyss, and Curse. Primal Dread launched on PC on 2 Nov 2026, also $3.99, with a euro price of 3.99, a pound price of 3.39, and 18 yuan in the announcement. It adds a Jungle, Evolution, and a roster the store page counts as 10 characters, 17 weapons, and 40 items. The announcement body says '30 plus' items. I print both figures.
Consoles and phones do not have Primal Dread yet. Gematsu, citing the developer, puts PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, iOS, and Android in early 2027, with no day. Abyssal Terrors is already on those platforms, including a Switch DLC dated 6 Nov 2025 at $3.99.
Whether either DLC is 'worth it' is my judgment, not a review score: you are buying a map, a mechanic, and a character pack at the same $3.99 list. Item sets mean you can install one and turn it off for a given run.

Does Primal Dread work on Switch?
Not as of 5 Nov 2026. The published window for consoles and phones is early 2027.

Both DLCs list at $3.99 on Steam. Sale prices move and I do not freeze today's discount.
