Editorial strategy: recommendations below follow the cited character rules; the source table records the underlying facts.

Build and shop priorities

Lucky gains damage opportunities from picking up materials, with luck scaling the pickup effect, while attack speed and experience gain are penalized. Our editorial opening uses weapons to create the first safe drops, then collects them along a controlled route instead of treating the random enemy hit as the only clearing tool. Luck purchases can support the character effect and the wider loot system, but the route still needs enough consistent weapon damage to begin functioning. Compare an additional luck item with recovery or a weapon upgrade whenever enemies prevent access to the materials that would trigger the character.

Unlock and clear reward

Collect three hundred materials to unlock Lucky. Clearing with Lucky unlocks Lucky Charm. The pickup trigger and the unlock requirement are related themes but different rules: the trigger belongs to Lucky after selection. The random enemy damage does not let the player choose a specific boss as the recipient every time a material is collected.

Danger 5 decisions

For Danger 5, prioritize safe collection over diving into a crowd for more pickup triggers. If enemies are blocking the route, improve direct coverage rather than waiting for better luck to remove the problem. Reduced experience gain makes careless missed collection especially costly. Review health and armor before spending everything on luck, since a favorable drop cannot help after the run ends.

Nightmare risk planning

Nightmare emphasizes the uncertainty of relying on random target damage against a particular durable threat. Our recommendation is to keep a consistent focused attack alongside the pickup engine. Gather drops in passes with an exit, rather than repeatedly reversing into the same pack. Luck supports the economy and the character effect; it is not a guarantee of a specific item, crate, or timely kill.

Compare the weapon classes and available stats, unlock entry, Danger 5 rules, and Nightmare changes before adapting the loadout.

Lucky starts with plus 100 luck and a plus 25 percent luck modifier. Picking up materials has a 75 percent chance to deal 1 damage to a random enemy, and that hit scales with 15 percent of luck. Attack speed is modified by minus 60 percent and experience by minus 50 percent. The unlock is collecting 300 materials. A clear unlocks Lucky Charm. brotato-builds and the Steam guide both cover Lucky. The luck page on this site explains the crate formula, so I do not paste that formula again here. What belongs on Lucky is the material-pickup zap and the attack-speed tax.

FAQ

Where is the crate formula?

On the luck mechanics page. This page keeps Lucky's pickup zap and the attack-speed modifier.

Which set includes Lucky?

The copied field list places Lucky in Base. I do not move a character between sets to match a tier list.
