Brotato vs Vampire Survivors
Updated for Brotato 1.2.0.1 · checked 2026-11-05

Both list at $4.99 on the US Steam pages I checked. Vampire Survivors, released 20 Oct 2022, is a survival clock of about 30 minutes: you move, weapons evolve, and the crowd does not pause for a shop. Brotato, released 23 Jun 2023, is 20 waves of 20 to 90 seconds with a shop between them, a cap of six weapons, and the option to aim.
Both support local co-op up to four on their PC store text. Vampire Survivors also carries an online co-op tag. I will not call that a native Brotato-style server, and I will not call it the same thing as Brotato's Remote Play path. The tags are not identical and I leave them that way.
I do not have a sourced hour-count for 'which game is longer.' I will not invent one. If you want a shop and a build you edit between waves, Brotato is the structure. If you want a single uninterrupted clock, Vampire Survivors is the structure.
